L. A. Rivera

L. A. Rivera was born and raised in New York City. A Puerto Rican growing up in the South Bronx, he attended All Hallows High School and graduated valedictorian. He graduated summa cum laude from the Catholic University of America in 2018 with a degree in History, Communications, and a certificate in Video Production & Digital Storytelling. 

 

L. A. Rivera started writing in fifth grade when he was bored one day after school and took out a notebook and just started writing. Since then he has published multiple Young Adult books available to read for free on Wattpad.

 

Along with writing, Rivera enjoys traveling and has called Washington, D.C., London, Madrid, Barcelona, and Auckland his home. He has taught English for two years in Spain at two different charter schools making an impact on students' lives. 

 

Rivera is also a huge Yankees fan, which he must keep under wrap while he lives in Boston. He enjoys watching anime, reading books, and baking during his free time. 

 

He is currently a full-time assistant Social Studies teacher to 5th and 6th graders in Boston, Massachusetts.
